It’s Uncle Bob or Me?

Now there’s a point. We know times are hard and money is tight but why cut corners and ask a friend or family member to take your wedding photographs. Think about the consequences if something goes wrong – feuds, blames and grief.

Will Uncle Bob control the crowds, organise the groups, speak to the celebrant, the hotel or even the tipsy Bridesmaids? Will the uncle ensure that heads are not cut-off, that dresses are included in full-length, that exposure is right, that key family members are included and even the quality of the final images are usable and printable.

Every wedding has the ‘pap’ group behind me, all taking shots on mobiles, on compact cameras and even some SLRs. Why not get the ‘pap’ group to be more constructive, creative and adventurous – they could be used to take other images; ones to compliment your wedding day. Speak to your family and friends and get them to snap each other, their outfits, the shoes and the EMOTION of the day..
